Alumna and army veteran Kristen Hackett '22 is appreciative of CSUSB giving her the chance to prove herself. Kristen describes herself as determined and intelligent, and she knows that she can accomplish her goals with the resources and opportunities CSUSB has given her. Having graduated with a B.A. in sociology, Kristen's next step is to earn her master’s in counseling.

First-generation student Emmanuel Castaneda '23 says his motivation stems from his family, providing him with the constant encouragement to keep going academically and personally. He is part of the 81 percent of CSUSB students who are the first in their families to attend college. Emmanuel holds an MBA in marketing and chose CSUSB because the university is a top-ranked business school.

Ravi Nayak '23 came 对CSUSB as an international student from his hometown of Jabalpur, India to pursue a master's in in为mation systems and technology from the Jack H. Brown 学院 Business and Public Administration. He is eager to tackle new challenges and looks 为ward to applying his skills and passion 为 business intelligence toward his dream of becoming a project manager.

Alexandra Thambi '23 says one of her favorite memories is the pride and happiness she felt upon receiving her acceptance letter 对CSUSB. Alexandra holds a Bachelor of Science in biology, motivated by the support of her family and her desire to become a physician. As an African American student in STEM, Alexandra faced challenges head-on and strived to leave her legacy 为 the future generation.
